In Memoriam

Tri-City Islamic Center (TCIC) is also known as Masjid Al-Aziz.  The name Al-Aziz has two significance for us. Al-Aziz, which means the most cherished and beloved, is one of Allah (swt) names, and we found the name quite appropriate for our newly established Masjid.

This name choice is also in loving memory of Dr. Aziz Godil. Dr. Aziz Godil was Mr. Altaf Godil’s father who is TCIC’s most generous donor along with his wife (Mrs. Nasreen Godil).

Dr. Aziz Godil, may Allah (swt) grant him the highest place in Jannah, was born in India in1930. He moved to Karachi, Pakistan in 1952 to study medicine. A few years after graduating, he moved to Nigeria in 1961. After retiring in 1990, Dr. Aziz Godil moved to the US and stayed with his kids until he passed away on 02.10.2018 in Orange County, CA - Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji'un.
